95665-95666 Peer Tutoring (Year, 1unit)

Prerequisite:  Junior or Senior standing; submit application and interview

This course is offered to individuals seeking a career or teaching experience in education.  Peer tutors will work directly with special education students in academic and life skills areas. Peer tutors will have the opportunity to work individually with students and in small groups, implementing teacher created instructional programs.  In addition, peer tutors will  be expected to complete a variety of teaching and planning activities.  Peer tutors will work under close supervision of the classroom teacher.
