Bloomington High School is located at 1202 East Locust Street, in Bloomington.  The school is located on Illinois Route 9, roughly midway between Business Route 51 (Main Street) and Business Route 55 (Veterans Parkway).  The Main Building, the Robert Frank Athletic Complex, and the Fred Carlton Field (Stadium) are located on Route 9 Eastbound (Locust Street), at the intersection with Victory Lane. The rear of the building, the Softball Field, the Technology Department, and the Area Vocational Center entrance are located on Route 9 Westbound (Empire Street). 
From Champaign-Urbana and East  via Interstate 74:

  • Take I-74 WEST toward Bloomington.

  • Proceed to Exit 135, BUSINESS 51 / Main Street.

  • Proceed into Bloomington on NORTH BUSINESS 51.  Mark your odometer.

  • Continue NORTH on Business 51 about 3.3 miles after I-74.  Turn RIGHT onto Illinois 9 / Locust Street.  (The Grand Cafe Restaurant is at the corner of Business 51 and Illinois 9/Locust Street.)

  • Follow Illinois 9 / Locust Street about 1 mile to the corner of Locust and Victory Lane -- There is a light.

  • Go straight at Victory Lane, and turn LEFT at the next driveway for Athletic parking.

  • Turn LEFT onto Victory Lane for the main office.
From Chicago and Northeast via Interstate 55:

  • Take I-55 SOUTH toward Bloomington.

  • Proceed to Exit 167 / Business 55 / Veterans Parkway.

  • Take the LEFT exit to Business 55 / Veterans Parkway SOUTH.

  • Follow Veterans Parkway about 3.8 miles (7 lights) to Illinois 9 / Empire Street. (There is a Hampton Inn at the corner of Veterans Parkway and Route 9.)

  • Turn Right onto Route 9 West to your third light.  Here Route 9 splits into two one-way streets. (There is an Arby's at this corner.)

  • Keep straight onto this one-way street, staying on Route 9 West / Empire Street.

  • You will see Bloomington High School on your left. This is the REAR of the school.

  • Keep going on Route 9 to your next intersection, Colton Street. Turn LEFT onto Colton.  (Bloomington Junior High School is at this corner.)

  • Your first light will be Locust Street, Route 9 EAST. Turn LEFT onto Locust Street.

  • Your first light will be Victory Lane. 

  • Go straight at Victory Lane, and turn LEFT at the next driveway for Athletic parking.

  • Turn LEFT onto Victory Lane for the main office.
From Decatur and South via US 51:

  • Take US 51 NORTH toward Bloomington.

  • At the Junction with I-74, continue into Bloomington on NORTH BUSINESS 51. Mark your odometer.

  • Continue NORTH on Business 51 about 3.3 miles after I-74.  Turn RIGHT onto Illinois 9 / Locust Street. (The Grand Cafe Restaurant is at the corner of Business 51 and Illinois 9/Locust Street.)

  • Follow Illinois 9 / Locust Street about 1 mile to the corner of Locust and Victory Lane -- There is a light.

  • Go straight at Victory Lane, and turn LEFT at the next driveway for Athletic parking.

  • Turn LEFT onto Victory Lane for the main office.
From LaSalle, Rockford, and North via Interstate 39:

  • Take I-39 SOUTH toward Bloomington.

  • Proceed to Exit 1 -- the end of I-39.  Follow I-55 NORTH.

  • Follow I-55 NORTH 0.4 miles to Exit 165, Business 51. 

  • Take Business 51 SOUTH.  Mark your odometer.

  • Continue SOUTH on Business 51 about 3.8 miles.

  • Turn LEFT onto Illinois 9 / Locust Street.

  • Follow Illinois 9 / Locust Street about 1.1 miles to the corner of Locust and Victory Lane -- There is a light.

  • Go straight at Victory Lane, and turn LEFT at the next driveway for Athletic parking.

  • Turn LEFT onto Victory Lane for the main office.
From Peoria and Northwest via Interstate 74:

  • Take I-74 EAST toward Bloomington.

  • Proceed to Exit 127, follow I-55 NORTH.

  • Follow I-55 NORTH 1.5 miles (two exits) to Exit 165, Business 51. 

  • Take Business 51 SOUTH.  Mark your odometer.

  • Continue SOUTH on Business 51 about 3.8 miles.

  • Turn LEFT onto Illinois 9 / Locust Street.

  • Follow Illinois 9 / Locust Street about 1.1 miles to the corner of Locust and Victory Lane -- There is a light.

  • Go straight at Victory Lane, and turn LEFT at the next driveway for Athletic parking.

  • Turn LEFT onto Victory Lane for the main office.
From Springfield and Southwest via Interstate 55:

  • Take I-55 NORTH toward Bloomington.

  • At Exit 157, Follow Business 55 / Veterans Parkway Northbound.

  • Follow Business 55 / Veterans Parkway about 2.2 miles to BUSINESS 51 / Main Street.

  • Take the ramp to Business 51.

  • Follow Business 51 NORTH about 1.9 miles.

  • Turn RIGHT onto Illinois 9 / Locust Street. (The Grand Cafe Restaurant is at the corner of Business 51 and Illinois 9/Locust Street.)

  • Follow Illinois 9 / Locust Street about 1 mile to the corner of Locust and Victory Lane -- There is a light.

  • Go straight at Victory Lane, and turn LEFT at the next driveway for Athletic parking.

  • Turn LEFT onto Victory Lane for the main office.
