The sociology classes are collecting Shoes to benefit

Home Sweet Home Ministries.

According to Home Sweet Home Ministries,

“Some will be sold or given away to those in need through Home Sweet Home’s Mission Mart thrift store with 100% proceeds benefiting Home Sweet Home Ministries here in our community, while others will be sold to a textile recycler who either recycles the shoes or sends them to other markets in countries such as Ghana and Mexico. ALL of the shoes will benefit somebody in need locally or abroad or get recycled

 to keep them out of our landfills.”

ALL sizes (children’s included), ALL styles (high heels too!), ALL conditions

Boxes will be in the student center,

All AP registration forms are due TODAY.  You can hand them in to Mr. Goff in room 134.

 

CLUBS

 

Attention Anime members: There will be an Anime meeting on Monday, March 15th from 2:30-3:30 in Room 216.  See you there!

 

If you signed up to participate in the African-American History Club there will be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, March 16th at 2:25 in Room 210. Please see Ms. Washington before Tuesday if you are unable to attend.

 

Pep Club Meeting has been changed from Wednesday, March 17th to Thursday, March 18th, after school in Room G116.

 

Anyone who would like to be a Class Officer, a Student Council Officer or a member of the BHS Student Council for the 2010-2011 School Year, should pick up a nomination form in the Main Office or from Mr. Jordan in Room 146.

 

NHS members and students needing volunteer hours: Volunteers are needed Saturday, April 24th, for Teens for McLean County “Born Learning Trail” event @ Tipton Park from 10-2.

The Junior class parents sponsor an

after prom party held at the BHS gym.

 Students can win a variety of door prizes and raffles.

There are typically over 400 prizes offered

ranging in value from $5.00 food gift cards
