Prerequisite:
Safety and Physical Education 10; selection through application process
This class is an
alternative to regular Physical Education 11 and 12 and introduces students
to weight training as a method of life long fitness. The course includes
proper instruction in lifting, safe muscular development, and safety aspects
associated with weight training. The class incorporates units including
cardiovascular and muscular development, body fat, flexibility, and strength
through a balanced program of anabolic and aerobic work.
