Graduate of Bloomington High School and Illinois State University Served
as head coach for BHS for 27 years. Competed for the Raiders at state
during his junior and senior year. Coaching philosophies: Individuals
should train to become the best that they can be and then mold together
to become the best team they can be. Individual improvement will always
be a key but learning how to help others, while helping yourself, will
stressed. Athletes will always be encouraged to swim all four strokes
and all possible events that a high school athlete can perform. Staying
positive, through individual improvement as well as team improvement,
will be encouraged in all aspects of the high school career. Academics
will also be stressed and checking on grades will be done once a week.
Their overall high school career, as a student/athlete, should be a
successful growing period. When they leave I want them to know that
they have done the best they could do to become a better person as well
as a better athlete. Has coached numerous all-state swimmers and a diver
during his 26 years.. Has coached 21 All-Americans. Has coached many
